Cathy Cao
Cathy is passionate about language, localization, and the ways culture shapes communication. Her work sits at the intersection of linguistics, technology, and user experience. Outside of that, she can usually be found at the piano, exploring story-driven games, or connecting with people from different backgrounds. She’s always happy to chat and exchange ideas.

Oceane Cui
Oceane is a second-year student in the Translation and Localization Management program at MIIS. She is fluent in Chinese and English and has provided language services for MINZU University of China, Queen’s University Belfast, and the China International Fair for Trade in Services. Previous Team Members
The project was founded by Veronica Fried, Cynthia Chen, and Caitlin Quait in 2019 during their first year at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey. They wanted to help MIIS TLM students connect with localization professionals. The program later grew to help translation and interpretation students as well.
